UnimasMFC
Our idea is to create a next generation fuel cell, Single Chamber Microbial Fuel Cell (SCMFC). SCMFC can be powered by using soil and waste. SCMFC can be applied in wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to produce electricity and in the same time, treating wastewater or use as ‘battery’ to power small device such as bulb and portable mobile phone charger. Application of SCMFC in WWTP replaces the Activated Sludge system in typical plant, increases the efficiency in treating wastewater and reduces the amount of energy needed, creating a cleaner environment and reducing the reliance on fossil fuel. The marketability of SCMFC is wide and promising. Our main target for this product will be wastewater treatment agencies and third world country. This product is low cost to be manufactured and able to be powered by waste and soil. SCMFC reduce CO2 footprint and greenhouse emission. SCMFC in wastewater treatment reduces the water and waste pollution as SCMFC has efficiency up to 90% in treating wastewater. Reliance on fossil fuel can be reduced as its facing extinction. SCMFC is future energy and is unique. It’s powered by waste and can be combined with biomass in WWTP to produce hybrid energy.
Environmental Health Trust Founder Dr. Devra Davis to Speak on Cell Phone Safety at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC …
Dr. Davis will expand upon the findings in Davis’s latest book, Disconnect: The Truth about Cell Phone Radiation, What the Industry Has Done to Hide It, and How to Protect Your Family (Dutton, 2010), in which she argues that the most popular gadget of our age has now been shown to damage DNA, break down the brain’s defenses, and reduce sperm count while increasing memory loss, the risk of …
