Samsung SDI aims to become world’s largest battery maker
With aggressive moves in the battery sector, Samsung SDI is aiming to surpass Sanyo Electric and become the world’s largest battery supplier. At the end of 2009, the Giheung, South Korea-based company had 12,000 employees worldwide, of which 1,300 were involved in research and development.
